Sister Circle - Awakening Within

When women gather, something magical happens....

We come together to hold each other in sacred space, bringing forth an ancient way of connecting. For centuries women have come together in this sacred configuration that has no beginning or end, where we are all equal.

We gather to share stories... of hope, suffering, change, grief, transformation, pain, joy… and in these stories we begin to see ourselves.

Our hearts break open in resonance, and mend in the arms of our sisters. Our pain is seen and understood. Our fears are embraced and transmuted. Our anger is felt, allowed, held. Our joys are echoed in the laugh of our sisters. Our spirits begin to soar. Our faces are reflected in the warm light of those circling us. We gather to heal life. We gather to heal our world. We gather to heal each other and ourselves.

Join your sisters for a night of connecting, sharing, breathing, expanding, releasing, praying, dancing and honouring the magic of women coming together. Showing up for your self and each other as you set intentions for what it is you want to call into your life.

Each circle will have a theme that will call to each of us in different ways. This circle's theme is EMBODIMENT - AWAKENING WITHIN. So much of our pain and suffering comes from disconnection. Disconnection with the world, with our loved ones, with ourselves, with our true purpose. It is so much easier to flee from or numb out from our emotions, whether it be with alcohol and drugs, social media, food etc. But this only perpetuates our pain because we are not listening to our hearts call to heal. Our emotions serve as a signpost, a red flag, a signal to you that SOMETHING NEEDS TO CHANGE!

Maybe you have experienced trauma, and your spirit learned to flee your body for safety. Maybe you have held so much hate for yourself that you don’t like being in your body. Maybe life is so hectic or unbearable at times that you just want a fucking BREAK and numb out however you can. If this is you, you will know that disconnecting only feels good temporarily, but ultimately leaves you feeling empty inside. Join me as I guide you through a number of embodiment practices that will help you feel safe in your body, and bring you back to a place of love and connectedness within yourself, that you can carry forth and practice in your everyday life.

To come back to the emotional body, to STAY in the body and FEEL, without judgement, but with love and compassion, we can release stuck feelings and old patterns that no longer serve us. We can get more in touch with our bodies and its wisdom - its rhythms, cycles, INTUITION and begin to live more authentically as our true selves, and live from the inside out, trusting our own inner guidance rather than relying on external cues.

Join us for a night of release, through sharing stories, breathing, sounding, moving, meditation and dance. Please bring a cushion and an open heart and mind.

About the facilitator:

Sarah has a Bachelor in psychology and counselling and is a psychoanalytically trained therapist. She is also a Past Life Regression Hypnotherapist. Forever in her mind, Sarah's passion is self-understanding, and helping others truly understand themselves, in order to best care for themselves. However getting out of the head and into the body, Sarah felt her life shift in a very powerful way. Understanding how trauma can live in the nervous system out of conscious awareness, deeper access is gained through breathing with sound and movement, into our hearts, our bodies. This allows access to feelings that have been suppressed, reaching deeper than the mind can go alone, allowing what needs to surface to be released.

Sarah feels the pull of the women of the world to connect, to share, to be seen and held by our sisters, and is passionate about creating a safe space for women to be fully themselves, raw, powerful, magical!
